– “A wonderful blend of story and song, which I warn you stays in your head!”
On Saturday evening, 27th April, renowned storytelling and musical duo Suzanne and Jake Thomas will star at Hopton Wafers Village Hall, performing their showstopping tale ‘The Elfin Knight’ along with other stories. A light supper will be provided.
‘The Elfin Knight’ is a 45-minute coming-of-age story; a spring time tale with music inspired by a familiar 16th century ballad, intended for adults and older children.
On her sister’s wedding day, Mary wonders if it will ever be her turn to get married. But does she really want a husband, or is it a TRUE LOVER she requires? Maybe Auntie has the answers…
This enchanting story will be accompanied by other songs and other stories. Come and be beguiled! Suzanne’s engaging telling of tales, and Jake’s traditional folk-style acoustic guitar playing are a wonderful combination. Together they are a not-to-be-missed music and storytelling duo.
Suzanne began storytelling in 2008 and her passion for sharing stories has taken her to schools, libraries, the National Trust and Festival at the Edge.
Jake has had a passion for music all his life. He plays the finger-picking folk style guitar and writes and performs his own compositions along with covers from the greats and his favourite traditional folk songs.
